Monthly Hair Stylistics第3弾は、新たに導入した機材との対話の中で生まれた作品『ハードなメルヘン』。「どうやっても機材が作る音になってしまう」という中原昌也の呟きが、ある日音楽へと昇華されていく。その「ため息」から「音楽」への過程が記された5曲、約34分。

Vol.1、Vol.2共に本人描き下ろしによって製作されてきたジャケットは、今回、気鋭の女性カメラマン田村尚子による撮り下ろし。
音と映像のコラボレーションの次なる展開が見えてくる、スペーシーなアルバムともなっている。
